Ways to Increase the Life of your Mobile Phone Battery

A battery is one of the basic components of the phone. It powers the phone. And it is but obvious that the phone cannot run without it. So, it is something that needs to be given special care and attention. It is more so in the latest phones being launched where an ill timed power failure or switching off of phone can result in huge amount of data or work progress being lost. So, here are a few tips on how to increase the battery life of your phone whether you are using Nokia battery, Samsung Battery, Sony Ericsson Battery or any other.

To begin with, use the headphones instead of the loudspeaker. Many people have a habit of talking on the phone and/or listening to music on loudspeakers. Not only does it cause inconvenience to others, but also uses up more battery as compared to the headphones. Switching is an intelligent way of increasing the battery life. Also, continued use of loudspeakers might damage the sound quality.

Then there is this habit of many people to keep their Bluetooth and other connectivity options always switched on. This has multiple side effects. To begin with, it makes the phone more susceptible to being used by unscrupulous elements. It gives them more access to the phone. Then there is ever present menace of virus. And some of the latest virus are so highly developed that one does not even need to go through the option of accepting data. Also, it uses up a humungous amount of battery. So, switching on the Bluetooth only at the time of need has many advantages and just a little extra thumb-work. The same goes for animations, effects, special tones and vibrations.

There is also a thing about many home screens and widgets. It is agreed that they give one more space and options to customize and personalize the phone more. These features take up a lot of energy and power from the battery reducing its life by quite a huge margin. So, it is better to decrease the number of home screens and widgets being used.

External Nokia battery – A must have

A phone is almost nothing without a good battery. As the complexity of the phone is increasing day by day, the power consumption is also mounting but till now, the battery life of a phone has not grown. We still use the old batteries only which were in the black white earlier phone models. Though these batteries are sufficient for those old models where we just had to call or message. But with these new phones, the usage is not limited to call or message only. It has evolved for running powerful games and large processors which the current batteries fail to satisfy.
But some mobile brands have definitely made an effort to improve their battery lives such as Nokia battery, Samsung battery, Sony Ericsson battery and others. I use a N900 which has high-capacity Nokia battery but it is still not enough. So, since I am a marketing person, I need to travel a lot. So, to get some superfluous power in the battery life, I decided to use external Nokia battery. I bought it from an online store the fone stuff. I must say there you will get everything that you need starting from a mobile phone handset to its assorted accessories.
I am delighted to buy this external Nokia battery for my mobile phone. It can be easily attached to the main handset. The external battery has almost double the power to that of a usual battery thus, making your phone usage healthier and expedient. But there are few drawbacks with the usage of this external battery. It takes a lot of time to charge-up as compared to a normal battery. It is unique for every phone model. It takes 5-6 hours to charge up an external battery as compared to only 2-3 hours for a normal one. One cannot charge many phone with a single external battery.
